ABOUT ME

Dan Witzke is a versatile and accomplished opera and live entertainment professional with over 30 years of experience in various aspects of the industry, including production, management, direction, translation, and libretto. He has worked with some of the most prestigious opera, operetta, and musical companies and festivals around the world, such as the Wiener Staatsoper, the Bregenzer Festspiele, the Spoleto Festival, Stage Entertainment and Disney Theatricals. He also applied his linguistic and creative skills to translate and adapt several opera and musical texts from English, French, and Spanish into German. He thrives on developing new talent, innovative performance formats, and international relations in the opera and live entertainment field. Dan is passionate about connecting and communicating and has been living and working in the US from 2010 to 2017. He actually still is a permanent resident of California, his second home. Dan lives in Gladbeck, Germany, with his wife Julia and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy Bella.
